The trail from Gulling to Khullara Top gradually transitions from forested paths to wide alpine meadows. As altitude increases, expansive views begin to open up, with Mount Dronagiri becoming prominently visible. The trek involves moderate ascents with occasional steep sections and seasonal snow patches during winter months. Upon reaching Khullara, trekkers are rewarded with one of the most scenic campsites of the trek, set amidst open meadows and towering Himalayan peaks. The evening offers stunning sunset views and ample time for rest before the summit day.
Day 4: Khullara to Kuari Pass Top and back to Khullara
This is the most important and rewarding day of the trek. Starting early from Khullara, trekkers ascend towards Kuari Pass through ridge walks, switchbacks, and snow-covered sections depending on the season. Upon reaching Kuari Pass Top at approximately 12,500 feet, a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the Garhwal Himalayas unfolds, including peaks such as Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Dronagiri, Kamet, and Hathi-Ghoda. After spending time at the pass for photography and rest, trekkers descend back to Khullara campsite for a well-earned dinner and overnight stay.

The descent from Khullara back to Karchi Village retraces the route through meadows and forests, offering a completely different perspective of the landscape. The downhill walk is comfortable and allows trekkers to appreciate the terrain they previously climbed. Passing through forest trails and mountain streams, the group reaches Karchi Village by afternoon or early evening. This day marks the completion of the trekking portion of the journey and is often spent reflecting on the experience and celebrating the achievement.
Day 6: Karchi Village to Rishikesh
After breakfast, the group departs from Karchi Village for the return journey to Rishikesh.
