The Kuari Pass hike is one that offers a wide variety of terrain and scenery. When you are walking along this trail, you will find that you are doing so beneath a beautiful marquee of trees. Day 2: From Joshimath to Dhak village and trek to Gulling camp
Following breakfast, we get on the road and make our way to Dhak Village to start our journey around 7:30 in the morning. You should always have a jacket on hand in case you end up needing it, but if the weather is great, all you really need is a t-shirt and a fleece. You will have to make your way up some rocky and dusty paths to reach the settlement of Tugashi, where you will locate your first water source. You may get a glimpse into the life of the residents as they go about their business in this charming small community. As you make your way up from the settlement of Tugashi, the terrain will change, and you will find yourself strolling through a beautiful oak forest. A clearing or a meadow might appear in the middle of a forest every once in a while.
