↬ Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Sankri
We will travel to Sankri via Mussoorie after departing from Dehradun. On the way there, we will make a pit break for lunch. This is a wonderful journey that starts with the Yamuna River and finishes with the gorgeous Tonnes River. In between, there are a few rivers along the way. The route we took today took us through many really stunning sections of pine woodland. When we get to Sankri, we will make our way to the picturesque Campsite to check in. In order to get our muscles warmed up and ready for the next walk, we are going to take an evening stroll in Sankri. Your accommodations for the night will be in Sankri.
Day 2: From Sankri to Puani Garaat trek via Taluka
The first part of the day consists of a thrilling, eventful and gorgeous trip to Taluka, which is where our walk will begin. Your day of trekking will take you through a beautiful mixed woodland as well as along the Supin River. The grade is rather easy for the most part, although there are a few challenging spots thrown in for good measure. This area is home to a lengthy and unique culture that has, thankfully, been maintained throughout the years. Today, you’ll get an up-close and personal look at whatever it is that you’re interested in. The majority of the terrain has a shallow incline, but there are a few challenging spots thrown in there for good measure. In Purani Garaat is where you will spend the night.

The first activity of the day is a walk to Osala Village. To do this, we would simply stroll along the Supin River until we neared Osala, at which point we would cross the bridge that was in front of us. It is a secluded hamlet that is located at an elevation of 8.5 thousand feet above mean sea level. Before moving on to the next step, there will be a little halt here. The stroll from here is a lot of fun since it is rather level for much of it. The beginning of the trail may have some steeper sections, but the breathtaking vista that lies ahead will more than make up for it. In the space of half an hour, we will stroll around not one but two lakes. The first location is linked to the second location by a wooden bridge. Following the completion of the mountain curve and the crossing of the bridge, we will be getting closer to a front area that consists of a number of meadows. From this vantage point, we will set off on a journey that will take us through the twists and turns of the surrounding mountains, as well as wide fields filled with stones and knolls. A makeshift bridge made of wood is situated up ahead, and the Supin valley can be seen just above it. In spite of the breathtaking views, the ascent is going to become much harder from here on out. The next location we will visit is Kalkatiyadhaar, which is located at an altitude of 2,692 metres. In Kalkatiyadhaar is where you are going to spend the night.
Day 4: Trek from Kalkatiyadhaar to Har ki Dun
In contrast to previous days, today you will get started earlier than usual. Get ready to be wowed once more because the views ahead are going to be just as captivating as they have been so far. The trail will link up with moraines and alpine meadows as it reaches the glacier basin. You’ll be greeted with towering pine trees at each and every turn you make. Before you enter the valley of Har Ki Dun, the trail ascends in a variety of steepnesses and degrees of difficulty. If you climb higher, you will come upon snowy landscapes and waterfalls that have frozen over. The snow stays on these fields throughout the whole winter. A valley is an incredibly beautiful place that seems to come straight from heaven at first glance. The vistas from enormous peaks such as Swargarohini, Hata Mountain, and Black Top are absolutely breathtaking.
Day 5: Trek from Har Ki Dun to Puani Garaat via osla
We begin our journey towards Osla via Kalkattiyadhar on day 5, with a lunch that we have brought with us. As we make our way towards the settlement, we pass a bridge that is made of cement and then descend down the same route. When one arrives at the village in the afternoon, one is met by a large number of people who are smiling.
Day 6: Trek from Puani Garaat to Sankri
This morning marks the beginning of a five-hour journey to Taluka, during which you will climb the familiar trail and stop at the customary rest spots. At the very end of the gravel road, when the road ends, the vehicle is waiting to be taken back to base camp. Watch out for a tactic known as the falling approach. Although descending is a less taxing activity, it is not a good idea to put as much pressure on your soles as possible by taking large steps. The arrival of Sankri for tea will occur at the appointed hour.
Day 7: Drive from Sankri to Dehradun
The last leg of the expedition is a ten-hour car ride from Sankri to Dehradun. While we are travelling, we will stop for breakfast and lunch along the way. The Dehradun station will open at six o’clock in the evening, giving passengers the opportunity to travel to Delhi throughout the night.
