↬ Itinerary
Day 1: From Dehradun to Sankri drive
From Dehradun, we’ll drive to Sankri. Make sure to break for lunch at one of the rest stops along the way. This is a beautiful drive that takes you along the Yamuna River all the way to the Tonnes River and back again. The route we are taking today passes through some very stunning stretches of pine woodland. After travelling for a while, we are going to Sankri to relax for a bit in a gorgeous hotel or tent. Refresh your muscles for the challenging walk that awaits you the following day with a leisurely evening stroll around this picturesque village. The place called Sankri is going to be your home for the night.
Day 2: From Sankri to Taluka drive and Taluka to Seema trek
The first part of the day consists of a thrilling, eventful and gorgeous trip to Taluka, which is the starting point of our walk. The route for today’s walk takes you along the Supin River and into some stunning mixed woodland terrain. The grade is rather easy for the most part, although there are a few challenging spots tossed in for good measure. It is to this region’s good fortune that a culture that is both extremely ancient and uniquely its own has been preserved. Today, you will have the opportunity to examine it in a manner that is intimate and detailed. During your stroll along the route, you can run across residents of other communities and get a glimpse of the exceptional architectural splendour that the region has to offer. We will go via a few different towns and villages on the route to Seema, which is a little market town. We are going to beat Seema to the lovely fields beside the river where we are going to pitch up camp, and we are going to spend the whole night in the tents.

The path still stays close to the Supin River even in modern times. The first checkpoint is called Debshu Bugyal, and from there, we get a magnificent view of Kala Nag, also known as Black Top. After making it over Debshu Bugyal, we will make our way down to the river by way of a trail that winds through the forest and is littered with rocks and sand. We are going to use a bridge to go over the Supin River. After we have crossed the bridge, we will continue to climb, but this time the Supin river will be on our right. There are a few challenging areas with a slippery path where we are going to have to take an other route. We are going to keep travelling down the river until we reach our campground on the riverbank, where you will be able to spend the night.
Day 4: From Rainbasira Falls to Ruinsara Lake trek
The Supin River trek we’ve been doing comes to an end today. We should get at Ruinsara Tal sometime during the afternoon. Ruinsara is a beautiful lake that is surrounded on all sides by rhododendron plants and grassy meadows. The hike does not provide any significant challenges, but it is rather laborious. We will be sleeping in tents, and the location of the campground is stunning. The Ruinsara Lake is located on one side of our campgrounds, while the Supin River is located on the other side. The view that can be had from the campsite is stunning in every way. Yamuna Kanta, which is the name of the pass that leads to Yamunotri and is located to the south-west of Ruinsara Tal, is considered to be a challenging walk. The magnificent Banderpooch Peak may be located to the east at a height of 6,387 metres.
Day 5: Acclimatization and explore day
Ruinsaratal calls for a day spent relaxing, getting used to the altitude, and exploring the area. The pure water, which is surrounded by reeds, as well as the warm sun, give the impression of being mesmerising. Explore this stunningly spectacular spot, which affords close-up views of the magnificent Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Dhumdhar Kandi, and the White Top. Today, we are going to embark on an adventure in Kyarkoti, where we will view some of the most beautiful meadows in all of the world. Tents are what we’ll call home for the night at Ruinsaratal.
Day 6: From Ruinsara Lake to summit attempt trek
We have at long last started climbing up the side of Bali Pass towards its peak. The last part of the trek consists of traversing a difficult path littered with rocks. The grade will be challenging all the way from Bali Udiyari all the way up to Bali Pass. After a few hours of strenuous climbing, we make it to the summit of the Bali Pass. The Swargarohini, Banderpooch, and Garhwal mountain ranges, in addition to the Yamnotri valley below, are all visible from this vantage point in the mountains.
Day 7: From summit top to Damini camp trek
After passing over the Bali Pass, the next stage of the trek is both the most exhilarating and the most challenging. We are going to make our way down the practically vertical road, which is covered with scree and large stones. Following this leg, we will be on the goat road, which is a much more difficult journey than the one we have just completed. When we finally make it over this really difficult stretch, we will be at the camp. After making it over this very challenging portion of the hike, we will arrive to Damni, where we will put up tents for the night and spend the night there.
Day 8: From Damini to Jankichatti to Dehradun
Today we will begin our walk in Damini with the objective of reaching the road head for Jankichatt. Along the way, we make a diversion to visit the holy Yamunotri temple and pay our respects there. After a walk of around four to five hours, you will get at Jankichatti. The journey is coming to an end, and soon you’ll be on your way to the next stop of your itinerary.
