The Great Himalayas are where you’ll find the Kalindi Pass Trek, which is located 6,000 metres above sea level. Exciting though they may be, high altitude treks need a significant amount of prior trekking experience in addition to a healthy dose of enthusiasm. It is a pass that connects Gangotri and Gastoli hamlet, as well as the valley of Badrinath. It begins in the base camp of Gangotri, which is a holy city and a well-known pilgrimage site. ↬ Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Gangotri
In order to go to the Gangotri base camp from Dehradun, you will need to rent a vehicle and enjoy the beautiful trip along the Bhagirathi River’s bank and through the many sections of forest. The base camp for the Tapovan Trek may be found here. Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand and one of the most beautiful towns in India, also acts as the state’s administrative centre. The Rajpur Road itself is the principal attraction of this place; strolling along it is the best way to take in the magnificence of Dehradun. After travelling for one hour, you will finally reach Mussoorie, often known as the “Queen of Hills.” A large number of individuals go there with their friends and family throughout the summer months. Afterward, halt in Suwakholi after 30 minutes. You may have breakfast there while mingling with folks from a variety of countries. The lull in activity is expected to continue up to an hour. You can see the peaks in the distance up ahead, and you will reach there in no time. As you continue on your journey, you will run upon Dharasu’s baby chinyalisaur. At 1:30, you will arrive in Uttarkashi, where you will stop for lunch. following that Take the picturesque route that zigzags through Harshil on the way to Gangotri. In the evening, get yourself ready, and then go have a snack in the stunning Garden that is accessible to the public. Day 2: Explore and rest day

Because it is a long hike to Bhojbasa, you should get an early start on the day. After making its way past the marketplace, the path continues on into the woods. In the afternoon, take a trip to the neighbourhood close by and stop at the little temple at Bhojbasa. Watch the sun go down behind the Bhagirathi group of peaks in the evening to get a sense of how magnificent and beautiful the mountains seem at that time. Before turning in for the night, take some time to appreciate the breathtaking scenery and the view of Mount Shivling.
Day 4: From Bhojbasa camp to Nandanvan camp trek
Today’s journey from Gomukh to Nandanvan is a challenging ascent up a high hill, and it will take you two hours to complete the journey. You have to go through the Gangotri Glacier in order to arrive to Nandanvan. After travelling through the Akash Ganga stream and reaching the Gangotri Glacier, you will need to decide how to descend. Glaciers often include thick layers of ice, as well as big boulders and smaller rock pieces. It is not easy to hike on the Gangotri glacier since parts of it are slippery and there is a risk of pebbles falling from the surface. In an area that is prone to landslides, you will need to first climb a distance of 100 metres after having descended the same distance. This open grassland can be found at the foot of Bhagirathi. As soon as you enter Nandanvan, you will get a crystal clear view of Mount Shivling, Mount Meru, and Kedar Dome. You are welcome to set up your tents and spend the night in this area.
Day 5: Trek from Nandanvan to Vasuki Tal
After breakfast, travellers may begin their trek to the base camps of Mount Satopanth and Mount Vasuki by departing from Vasuki Tal. To reach this sacred and crystal pure lake, which is supposed to have been used by Lord Vishnu as a bathing spot, you will be trekking today along the Chaturangi glacier. There are a number of places in Uttarakhand, like Vasuki Tal, that have tremendous religious importance for Hindus, and the energy that permeates this place is one of sanctity. You will have to go over some rocky terrain; the ascent is not very challenging, but the distance is rather long, so you may feel fatigued. Along the way, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the Chaturangi glacier. In the winter, Vasuki Tal is completely frozen over since it is encircled by snow-capped mountains on all sides. Observe the plethora of rare Himalayan Brahma Kamals and other flowers that are blooming all around this mesmerising lake. Discover this and take in the beautiful views it has to offer along the way. You should pitch your tents nearby, have supper there, and then call it a night when you get there.
Day 6: Rest and explore day
Allow your body to adjust to the new environment in order to avoid getting altitude sickness. You might choose to take it easy today or go for a brief walk around the area. Tomorrow will mark the beginning of the difficult portion of our quest. Eat a meal that is balanced, and get to bed at a reasonable hour.
Day 7: Trek from Vasuki Tal to Khara Patthar
The path will take travellers through a boulder and moraine zone, which will result in breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding mountain range. Because you will need a lot of energy for certain parts of the segment, make sure that your breakfast consists of a variety of healthy foods. You won’t be able to break out of the mountain range until you’ve reached Khara Patthar. Mount Satopanth, the second-largest mountain in the Gangotri siblings, may be seen from this campsite because to its elevated position. Put up your tents in this area, and get some rest for the night.
Day 8: Trek from Khara Patthar to Shweta Glacier
The glaciers and moraines will make the trek more difficult than it would otherwise be, but they can be navigated through with the appropriate level of technical knowledge. You will get to view various aspects of the destinations since the sceneries are varied, which will provide you the opportunity to have an experience that is both fascinating and adventurous. When you get to your campsite, which is the Shweta Glacier, look for a suitable location to set up your tents and then call it a night.
Day 9: Trek from Shweta Glacier to Kalindi base
Today is the day that you have to make your way to the Kalindi Base Camp; the paths are both thrilling and dangerous, but the glaciers and the chain of mountains will be there to support you since they are all coated in ice. You will spend the most of your time travelling through the moraine area, with only sporadic opportunities to catch sight of the Chaturangi glacier (shown in four colours) along the route. After a tough hike, you will arrive at the Kalindi Base Camp. From the Base Camp, you will be able to get some great views of Kalindi Peak, which will provide you with the motivation you need to finish the hike. You will be given the briefing for tomorrow here, and the subjects that will be addressed include the protocols, as well as the way that is most likely to keep you safe. following dinner, goes to bed for the night.
Day 10: The Day of Acclimatization
Acclimatisation, achieved by the completion of a series of shorter hikes, helps prevent altitude sickness. Invest the night in some rest at the camp.
Day 11: From Kalindi base to Kalindi Pass trek and back to Arwatal
You have arrived at the first day of the trip, which will also be the longest and most difficult of the whole journey. Get an early start and go in the direction of Kalindi Pass, which is 19685 feet in elevation. One thing that you should bear in mind is the possibility that the weather may change, which is why you should be prepared and try to climb the peak on two separate days. As you make your way up the exhilarating path and come face to face with some invisible crevasses, practise using the ropes for both the ascent and the descent, remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution. You will be able to reach the summit if you make use of your skills and follow the directions of the knowledgeable guide. As a result of the climb being completed without incident, arriving at the highest point of Kalindi Pass will bring feelings of delight and excitement. The mountain views will be at a location that is astonishingly close by. Spending an excessive amount of time at that location will make the ascent take even longer. Your campsite is called Arwatal, and when you reach the levelled section, you will need to descend using ropes. You will then have some rest breaks before arriving at the campsite. Celebrate the fact that you were able to make it over this challenging pass; doing so will boost your sense of self-assurance and fill your heart with pleasure and satisfaction. Stay up until the supper is served before turning in for the night.
Day 12: Trek from Arwatal to Ghastoli camp
You are going to be taken aback by the fact that the hike requires you to ford anywhere from three to four rivers in order to reach Ghastoli. The walk will definitely be breathtaking and will result in the acquisition of new trophies. There is a military base at Ghastoli due to its location on the border between Tibet and China; as a result, the security there is quite stringent. Your camping spot is located close to the River Arwa. The setting of the campsites will be one that is peaceful and invigorating to visitors. After dinner, some time to relax and unwind, and then it’s time to turn in for the night.
Day 13: The walk continues from Ghastoli to Mana and then to Badrinath
As you make your way out of Ghastoli, make your way down to Mana, the last settlement in India. Once you arrive, the cars will already be in position there. Travel in the direction of Badrinath to pay a visit to the Lord Vishnu Temple, which is located at one of the four holy sites known collectively as the Char Dhams. There, at a hotel, preparations will be prepared for the event.
Day 14: We make our way back to Dehradun.
This is the last stop on the hike; after breakfast, you will go back to Dehradun.

↬ Inclusion
- From Day 1 through Day 14 of your walk, you will be sleeping in various hotels and tents.
- All meals are provided, beginning with the first night’s dinner and ending with breakfast on day fouteenth. On all days of the walk, we provide simple, healthy vegetarian meals.
- We will provide for round-trip transportation from Dehradun to Dehradun
- Trekking permits and camping expenses in the woods are all accounted for.
- Tents and sleeping bags of the highest quality will be provided at each camp. Fortunately, we have high-altitude sleeping bags that are good down to ten degrees Celsius.
- Gaiters, microspikes, and ropes are available.
